Ebony Satchwell

<em>Make Believe</em> is a jewellery label that was born out of an obsession with creativity, art, music, design and Japan. The two founders, <strong>Amber</strong> and <strong>Ebony</strong> <em>(aka <strong>Ambony</strong>)</em>, met while living in the electrifying cosmopolitan wonderland of Tokyo. Both grew up in the wilderness; Ebony under the biggest sky in a remote valley on the South Coast of Australia and Amber in the rugged Rocky Mountains of Canada. They have been around the world (both real and make believe), ridden unicorns with Mariachis in Mexico, done high kicks with the kids in Harajuku, donned pajamas with scenesters in Shanghai and are now bringing you the latest and greatest of all things <em>Make Believe</em>.
With backgrounds in design and fashion the two made a pact to share the things they love with the rest of the world, and launched the <em>Make Believe</em> label and online store during Tokyo Fashion Week 2009. Shortly after, they collaborated with <a href="http://www.antipodium.com/" rel="external" title="Ant!podium">Ant!podium</a>, creating the <a href="http://www.coutorture.com/3089080" rel="external" title="RAFW Jewellery">jewellery</a> for a knockout catwalk show at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week.
Partly a response to the mysticism of <em>Ant!podium's Totally Tarot</em> theme, the current collection <em>Petal to the Metal</em> is treasures from an off kilter fairy tale world where all is not saccharin sweet.
With a studio and office located in sunny Sydney, Australia, the <em>Make Believe</em> Dynasty is also virtual home to two main men; Interaction Designer and Developer <a href="http://www.leslieowusuappiah.com/" rel="external" title="Interaction Design & Development">Leslie Owusu-Appiah</a> and Graphic Designer <a href="http://yoshirotten.blogspot.com/" rel="external">Yoshirotten Nishi</a>. Spending his time backstage of this operation, Londoner <strong>Leslie</strong> builds websites and dreams with brainy codes and wizard wands. Working from Tokyo, <strong>Yoshirotten</strong> is the master behind the graphics. He creates masterpieces while the rest of the world sleeps.
At <em>Make Believe</em>, we are inspired by elements from the vivacious, thriving cities we've lived in, the rustic arms of nature of our childhoods, and strive to create for the fabulous, whimsical, unconventional people in our lives from all over the world.

私たちはいつもおとぎの国ですごし夢見ている事が多いけれど、たまに現実に舞い戻る事もあるんです。私たちはオーストラリアのシドニーにオフィスとスタジオをおき、そこから活動しています。
<em>Make Believe</em>王国はさらにインターアクションデザイナーでありデベロッパーの<a href="http://www.leslieowusuappiah.com/" rel="external" title="Interaction Design & Development">Leslie Owusu-Appiah</a>とグラフィックデザイナーの<a href="http://yoshirotten.blogspot.com/" rel="external">Yoshirotten Nishi</a>の住まいでもあります。この作戦の裏方である<strong>Leslie</strong>は聡明なコードと魔法の杖を使ってロンドンからこのサイトの構築をしています。グラフィックの立役者が東京のYoshirotten。みんなが寝てる間に最高傑作を作り上げるのがこの人。
<em>Make Believe</em>は新鮮で、美しく、エッジーでスペシャルな全てのものに恋してます。そして私たちの素晴らしい発見やインスピレーションそしてクリエーションをみんなと分かち合いたいです
